The Melting Point unit is preferably used in research and at the chemist’s, where frequently changing types of substances have to be determined and it is relevant to observe the substances during the melting process.

The unit is provided with a metal block to serve as heating compartment to replace the disagreeable silicone oil. While it determines melting points and boiling points up to 400°C with maximum precision, the new heating system will reduce maintenance and ensures very short cooling-down times, assisted by a fan.
