Chamber Furnaces 1700°C & 1800°C

Tube furnaces 1800°C

Vacuum tube furnace 1500°C

Chamber Furnaces  1700°C & 1800°C Bottom loading furnaces

  • Maximum operating temperatures of 1700°C & 1800°C
  • 1700°C - capacities of 3, 8, & 21 litres
  • 1800°C - capacities of 3 & 8 litres
  • 3 litre size is bench mounted - other models are floor standing
  • Heated by MoSi2 elements positioned symetrically around the walls of the chamber, which provide excellent thermal uniformity
  • Electrically operated hearth ensures operator safety and smooth loading and unloading of delicate samples
  • Choice of PID controller or programmers
  • Options specific to this range include, adaption to allow inert gas atmosphere, by fitting an inverted crucible and providing a gas inlet through the hearth
  • Options also include a crucible clamp, radiation shutter, and hearth safety cage
  • Applications in the ceramics industry include disintegration, testing and analysis of advanced ceramic samples, glass melting, refractory porosity tests, long term high temperature tests and firing & sintering of ceramic samples
  • Applications in the semi-conductor industry include annealing silicon, silicon carbide & nitride samples and solid state synthesis

Tube furnaces 1800°C Vertical tube furnace

  • Maximum operating temperature of 1800°C
  • Accepts worktubes of 50, 75, 100 and 125mm outside diameter
  • Heated lengths of 200 or 350mm
  • These models utilise lanthanum chromite heating elements, suspended vertically around a separate ceramic worktube to ensure excellent thermal uniformity
  • Only available for use in the vertical position
  • Can be adapted to allow a non-oxidising atmosphere or vacuum, by fitting a longer length worktube and end seals
  • Applications in the Ceramics Industry include disintegration, testing and analysis of cement samples, refractory porosity tests, long term high temperature temperature tests and firing & sintering of ceramic samples
  • Applications in the Semi-Conductor Industry include annealing silicon, silicon carbide & nitride samples and solid state synthesis

Vacuum tube furnace 1500°C Vacuum tube furnace

  • Maximum operating temperature 1500°C
  • For horizontal use only
  • Offers vacuum levels of better than 10-5 mbar with a clean empty worktube
  • Vacuum system and controls are housed in the base
  • One end of the worktube is joined to the vacuum system via a stainless steel elbow
  • Tube access is via the other end which is fitted with a removable stainless steel flange
  • Radiation shields are provided for both ends of the furnace to ensure maximum temperature uniformity
  • Furnaces include two stage sliding vane rotary pump, water cooled oil diffusion pump, high vacuum baffle valve, roughing/backing valve(s) and Pirani and Penning gauges.
  • Special options include: gas systems, automatic/semi-automatic vacuum systems, air cooled diffusion pump, cooling water failure alarm, lower vacuum and special vertical and custom built designs
