Suppository Testers

The Suppository Testers has been designed to test the Disintegration Time of Suppositories as laid down in the latest USP and EP. It consists of 3 Test Stations inside 4.000 ml beakers which are located inside an acrylic glass water bath. The warming solution is heated by an immersion Thermostat (1500W at 230V, accuracy +/- 0.5°C). According to the specification the Test Station is turned through 180° every 10 minutes automatically. Optional magnetic stirrers under each Test Station are available

Weighing Systems

The standard Weight Checker CWS is designed to check the weight of tablets, capsules and similar forms. Test speed is 10 samples/min. with an accuracy of +/- 0.1mg or 15 samples/min. with an accuracy of +/- 1 mg. Up to 50 samples can be loaded to the instrument. The samples are automatically segregated by a vibratory system and transferred to the weight measuring station. The samples will be ejected after the measurement. Optional the samples can be sorted according to the pre-defined tolerances (SORT).

Tapped Density Testers

Tapped Density Testers for USP method 1 are available with one (SVM 101) and two Test Stations (SVM 201).The test-run duration can be entered either in time (1 min. to 9 hrs., 59 min.) or number of strokes (1 to 99.999) by the numeric membrane keys and the illuminated 4-line LC display. For the each Test Station glassware with 100, 250 and 500 ml volume is available as an option.

Hardness, Diameter, Thickness, Weight

The samples are individualized automatically by a self-adjusting 3-step vibration system and then deposited onto the weight measurement boat. From there the samples are transported to the test stations by a linear feeder which allows you to align oblongs as well as odd shaped samples such as sugar coatings. In case of problematic samples a new innovative down holder in the hardness test station is available as an option. A patented step in the transport way allows you to switch tablets which tend to lay on the side.

Dissolution testers

Dissolution testers (8 USP Vessels, 6, 7 or 8 stirrers, 1000 or 2000ml) in ”easy access” High-Head configuration. The DT 600 is of the same quality as the upgraded products, but is downgraded in terms of functions. Even so, the DT 600 offers: external flow through heating to eliminate vibration transfer, moulded PET water bath, autom. vessel centring, membrane sealed low-evaporation vessel covers, stirrers with autom. USP/Pharm.Eur./JP height adjustment, optional and acoustic manual sampling reminder, user specified configuration of various unit parameters etc.

Friability Testers

In contrast to the basic offers variable speed (20 to 100 rpm). The required speed is entered by the numeric membrane keypad.For loading and emptying of the Friability Drum, the Drum does not have to be removed. Operation is automatic, the samples are loaded and unloaded through a opening in the Drum. Actual and nominal speed as well as the remaining run time is constantly shown at the illuminated 4-line LC display. The unit is available for holding 1 or 2 Friability- or Abrasion Drum/s. A 10° tool for USP test of bigger samples is standard.

Disintegration Tester

The Test Station (1 to 4) can be controlled, started and stopped individually. As standard the Basket Rack Assembly/ies are introduced into the media on the start of the test-run and moved out of the media manually, optional the Basket Rack Assembly lies are introduced and lifted out automatically. The temperature of the warming solution is measured by an electronic PT 100 temperature sensor and displayed in the illuminated 4x20 digit LC display. Optional a serial RS 232 for data output to a PC as well as a media pre-heat and Cleaning Station (1- and 3-station versions only) is available.

Vacuum Blister Density Checker

To verify the function of blister packaging machines, the Vacuum Blister Density Checker, Type VDT.The unit is equipped with a vacuum pump. Pressure (-200 to –800 mbar) and time are adjustable.The blister is placed in the external pressure container which is filled with liquid. Different sizes of containers are available.
